CHECK your pockets, Oliver is back!

The Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society (EOMS) is performing the show at The Point until Saturday May 10.

The family show tells the timeless story of Oliver, a young orphan who escapes from his grim existence in the workhouse and runs away to London.

Here his adventures truly begin and he meets up with some of the shadiest characters in all of London.

The story is tragic but heart-warming, and gives an intimate view into the dark world of Dickensian Victorian London.

The show, overseen by professional director John Barlow, includes a cast of over 50 adults and children and even a dog.

EOMS juniors resident Musical Director, Martin Paterson, takes up the baton for this show.

The principal cast includes Tabitha Ley-Smith as Oliver and Will Farthing as The Artful Dodger. Both are members of the hugely successful and award winning EOMSJS.

Keith Wiggans will play Fagin' and Kevin Jones will be appearing to menace the cast as the Evil Bill Sykes'.

Rebecca Milne (who has received an offer to train at Birmingham School of Acting), will play the role of Nancy'.

The show features the songs Food, Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, Oom-Pah-Pah, Pick a Pocket or Two, As Long As He Needs Me, and of course I'd Do Anything.

Oliver! runs at the Point in Eastleigh until May 10 with a Saturday Matinee.
